Description:
The Government has had a busy month from backtracking on the cancellation of winter fuel payments through to steadying their gaze on pension funds by looking at taxing salary sacrifice to mandating pension funds on investment, seemingly irrespective of members returns or interests. We wait to see how these reforms will affect the pensions industry.
This month’s cover story comes from Scott St George from WTW looking at how climate change is pushing insurability to tipping point. Luca Russignan, from Capgemini Research, looks at the rapidly ageing population saying insurers must scale for tomorrow, today.
Jade Lagrue and Charl Cronje from LCP examine the contribution of claims handling to reserving risk.
We also have regular authors such as Dale Critchley asking is the answer inertia as he looks at the success of auto enrolment. And Caroline Elliot-Gray also asks a question in her article, is Subsidence Risk on the increase.
We will see the results of current Government activity in the months ahead but in the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you back for next month’s edition.
