Description:
They say a week is a long time in politics, well this week has certainly proved that. It started with a number of high-profile politicians, including the Chancellor Rishi Sunak, and then the pensions minister Guy Opperman resigned with an open letter to the then Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The week ended with Boris Johnson then resigning himself with Rishi Sunak then throwing his hat into the ring for the Prime Ministers position. We now take a breath and see how this now affects our industry with specific emphasis on the pensions industry.
In a likewise packed magazine, we have features on Reserving and Machine Learning from Lewis Maddock at WTW, Saeed Patel examines how we are combatting money laundering in insurance, whilst Matt Foote, also from WTW, is asking why Open Source is needed to combat Climate Change.
In addition, we also have our excellent stable of regular contributors writing about subjects, amongst many, such as cost reduction being the new black from Tom Murray and on a theme Martyn Mathews from LexisNexis looking at how to use front end data to counter commercial insurance fraud.
