Description:
Welcome to the Actuarial Post Awards 2023 winners edition and we hope you enjoy reading about our winners responses on having won the award. The awards this year were, once sgain, our biggest to date in terms of engagement and votes cast across all of the categories. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group, Bolton Associates and Star Actuarial Futures for supporting our awards this year.
As is traditional I wont spoil your enjoyment of discovering our winners within the pages of this edition of the magazine by naming them here. However, as is traditional our front cover for this yearly edition is reserved for our Actuary of the Year 2023 and our congratulations go to David Hamilton, Chief Actuary at Broadstone for winning the award. Massive congratulations to not only all of our winners in each category but also to all of the nominees that were on the shortlist as the voting went down to the wire in every case.
In a packed magazine we also have an article on a topical theme with COP28 in the news as Cameron Rye from WTW Research Network examines the blind spots in climate adjusted catastrophe modelling. We also have an interview from Zoe Bolton with Sara Brenwald , Chief Actuary of Chubb Tempest Re International
In addition to the winners we also have our regular authors stepping in with their final insights of the year.
May we take this opportunity to wish all of our readers and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2024.
